Reign Theme v2.3.0 was released and it has included a variety of amazing enhancements and fixes this time.
Reign BuddyPress Theme Update
The best part about this release is it has added more functionalities to the existing components of the theme such as Customizer, color schemes, and more. Some of the highlights of Reign BuddyPress Theme Update are:
1. Cart Preview On Header
A major boost to Reign e-commerce support. You will find a mini cart preview on the header menu of the homepage. This mini-cart will be available for both WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads. This will show the preview of all the items that you have added to your cart. It will allow you to remove products from the cart, view full cart details, and go to the checkout page to complete the purchase.
2. A Brand New Mobile Header for WordPress Site
The new update brings to you a new functionality for Mobile Header. The Mobile Panel Settings will be available in the WordPress Customizer Options.
The Mobile header has two mobile panels namely First Mobile Panel and Second Mobile Panel. You can select what you to display (Menu) on both of them..The First Mobile Panel will be on the left and the Second Mobile Panel will be on the right. For both the panels there are dedicated settings.
First Mobile Panel
This Mobile Panel by default will show the WordPress primary menu. Site Admin can change WordPress primary menu. and can make any menu to show in the first mobile panel. Whether from menu display location or manage location
Second Mobile Panel
The second mobile panel has a bit more options. Inside the Mobile panel setting under toggle content right edge, the options of different header icons for the right panel. In the above demo you can see on selecting BuddyPress menu the user icon will be added and on selecting WooCommerce a cart icon will show. This header icon for the right panel will change based on the niche of the site for the demo we have shown BuddyPress and WooCommerce icons.
For selecting the menu for the right panel admin have to go to a second mobile panel configuration. Any menu can be selected from the display menu drop-down list or leave it blank and select any menu from the theme location menu.
The Settings available for these mobile panels are:
1. Configuration:
Both the panel configuration settings have multiple options like for panel edge, Submenu Type, Accordion Toggle Open and close Icons, and menu selection for the second mobile panel.
2. Content:
This allows you to select what you are going to display in both the mobile panels. along with the menus any custom content Before or after the menu. You can change the logo, add any custom code, link, etc.
3. Styles:
This gives you a number of styling options for all the menu items. Similar options are available for Activators and Retractors, Panels, submenu, and Fonts.
3. More Color Schemes Options
In this version, you will be getting more color scheme options to enhance the design of your website.
You can use these color schemes as default color schemes. These will serve as a base for your customization. These schemes include:
- Default
- Dark
- Ectoplasm
- Sunrise
- Coffee
All the BuddyPress components are well-configured with these themes and the customizer options. There are many other customization options included in the theme customizer.
Other major enhancements include:
- Added BuddyPress user menu option in mobile toggle menu.
- Added more menu in element header.
- Login page style updated.
- Updated login screen image.
