Why WooCommerce

WooCommerce wins when you need control. It loses when you skip the engineering.

The flexibility that makes WooCommerce powerful is the same flexibility that makes most WooCommerce stores slow, fragile, and hard to maintain. Twenty plugins doing what one custom integration would do better. A page builder checkout adding 400KB of CSS. An action scheduler queue 200,000 jobs deep. The platform is fine. The implementations are usually not.

We build WooCommerce stores like product engineering, not like template configuration. Custom code where customization adds value, well-chosen plugins where they earn their keep, and performance work that holds when orders scale.

What we build

WooCommerce that handles your real catalog and your real traffic.

Custom checkout, payment gateway integration, subscription billing, B2B workflows, headless frontends, performance tuning. Built for the load you will hit, not the load you have now.

01

Custom checkout that converts

Block-based checkout customized to your conversion path. Address validation, express checkout, abandoned cart recovery, order bumps. Tested across mobile and desktop, accessibility verified.

Checkout completion rate measurably higher.

02

Payment gateway integration

Stripe, Razorpay, PayPal, Authorize.net, regional gateways. Subscription billing, metered billing, multi-currency, tax handling. Webhook handlers tested with the gateway CLI before launch.

Payment infrastructure stops being a single point of failure.

03

Subscriptions, memberships, recurring

WooCommerce Subscriptions, MemberPress, Paid Memberships Pro, custom recurring billing. Trial periods, dunning, mid-cycle plan changes, prorated upgrades. Wired to your CRM.

Recurring revenue infrastructure that holds.

04

B2B, wholesale, multi-vendor

Tiered pricing, customer-specific catalogs, request-for-quote workflows, account-level approvals, multi-vendor (Dokan, WC Vendors, custom). The patterns most B2B stores need but standard WooCommerce skips.

Enterprise tier deals become possible.

05

Headless WooCommerce when speed matters

Catalog and product pages on Astro or Next.js for sub-second LCP. Cart and checkout still on WooCommerce. Best of both worlds: fast frontend, mature commerce backend, no replatform risk.

Conversion rates up because the frontend is fast.

06

Performance tuned for traffic spikes

Object cache, transient cache, edge caching with proper exclusions. WooCommerce action scheduler tuned. Order management performant at 10,000+ orders/month. Black Friday tested.

Store stays up during the launch tweet.

building WooCommerce extensions and customizations for production stores

Process

How a WooCommerce engagement runs.

01

Discovery

One to two weeks. Catalog audit, payment flow audit, performance baseline, integration list, customization plan. Output is a fixed price quote.

Build starts with the scope locked.

02

Build

Four to twelve weeks depending on scope. Staging store available within seven days. Test orders flow through every payment gateway. Performance tested against synthetic load.

Working store at every milestone.

03

Launch and monitor

One week. Cutover during low-traffic window. Order monitoring, payment reconciliation, performance tracking active. Optional retainer for ongoing operations.

Store opens stable.

Common questions

Frequently asked

  1. Should we use WooCommerce or Shopify?

WooCommerce when you need control, owned data, custom workflows, or integration with WordPress content. Shopify when you want a hosted platform with less customization. Most B2B and content-driven stores end up on WooCommerce. Most simple D2C stores work fine on Shopify. We will recommend honestly.

  2. Can you migrate from Shopify to WooCommerce?

Yes. Products, customers, orders, subscriptions, reviews, redirects all migrated. Shopify themes do not port directly, the new WooCommerce theme is built fresh against your design. Migration timeline is two to eight weeks depending on catalog size and customizations.

  3. How do you handle WooCommerce performance?

Three layers. Database tuning (index optimization, autoload cleanup, action scheduler tuning). Object cache (Redis with proper invalidation). Edge cache (Cloudflare with WooCommerce-aware exclusion rules). Most WooCommerce stores improve TTFB 60 to 80 percent.

  4. Do you build custom payment gateways?

Yes. We have built integrations for regional gateways (Razorpay, Paystack, Mercado Pago) and custom B2B gateways (NET 30 invoicing, purchase order workflows). The integration includes webhook handlers, refund handling, partial captures, and reconciliation reports.

  5. Can you integrate with our ERP or accounting system?

Yes. NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, custom ERPs. Bidirectional sync of orders, customers, inventory. We have shipped these integrations through REST APIs, file-based exchange, and middleware platforms (Zapier, Make, custom Laravel sync layer).

  6. What does it cost?

WooCommerce projects are scope-dependent for focused work (custom checkout, payment integration, performance tuning). Full custom WooCommerce builds are scope-dependent. Headless WooCommerce builds quoted as part of the headless engagement. Discovery call is free.
