With Product Roadmap
" We use Product Roadmap on our own products at Wbcom Designs. Every Pro release of every plugin starts with the top three voted items on our public board. That's not theory, that's how we ship.
Six features make the free plugin a complete feedback-and-roadmap workflow on its own. Drop a shortcode, members start voting, you watch priority emerge.
A beautiful responsive board your customers visit at yoursite.com/roadmap. Status pills, vote counts, category filters. Indexed by Google.
Members upvote items they want most. Vote totals reorder the public board automatically. Priority shows up in numbers, not gut feel.
Logged-in members add new items via a front-end form. You moderate from the standard WordPress posts queue. Approve, edit, decline.
Planned, In Progress, Completed. Move items as you ship. Customers see exactly where their requests sit and stop emailing to ask.
Organize items by feature area, audience, plugin module. Customers filter the public board to the slice they care about.
Conversations under every feature. Customers add context ("we need this for the mobile app"). You ask follow-up questions in public.
[roadmap product="main"] Drop this shortcode on any page or post. Renders the full roadmap with your theme's styling. Works in Gutenberg, Elementor, Bricks, Beaver Builder, Divi.
From WordPress.org search to a live voting board your customers can use, in under five minutes.
Upload the zip, activate. WordPress 5.8 or later, PHP 7.4 or later. The plugin auto-creates a Roadmap post type and seven default categories so you have a starting structure.
Add [roadmap product="main"] to your /roadmap page, a sidebar widget, or anywhere shortcodes render. The public board appears immediately with your theme's typography and colors.
Seed the board with three or four planned features so it doesn't look empty. Link to it from your support page, your changelog, your newsletter. Customers find the voting button on their first visit.
SaaS, WordPress products, e-commerce, agencies, open source. Anyone with users who have opinions about what comes next.
SaaS founders + product teams
Customers vote on what they want next. Engineering ships the top three each quarter. Churn drops because power users see their voices land in production.
WordPress plugin + theme makers
Replace your scattered GitHub issues + Trello board + support email chaos with one public board your buyers can use. Pro features auto-pulled to the top by paying members.
E-commerce stores planning features
Wish-list voting on which categories to expand, which payment methods to add, which shipping zones to open. Real demand signal, not guesswork.
Digital agencies with retainer clients
Each client gets a private roadmap (Pro). They vote on which features in their backlog get built next this sprint. Account management replaces escalations with transparency.
Open-source maintainers
Community votes drive contributor focus. Drag-and-drop reordering lets the maintainer override votes when reality (a security fix) jumps the queue. The lightweight ProductBoard alternative for WordPress.
The free plugin handles one public roadmap with voting and comments perfectly. When you ship more than one product, or need stakeholder-facing visuals, or want to export feedback into your analytics stack, Pro extends the same plugin with the features below.

Yes. The shortcode [roadmap product="main"] renders inside Gutenberg, Elementor, Bricks, Beaver Builder, Divi, Oxygen, anywhere shortcodes work. The board inherits your theme's typography and colors.
No. The roadmap is a custom post type that uses the standard WordPress page cache. Roadmap pages cache like any other page. Votes write through to the database directly, not via heavy AJAX cycles.
Pro ships CSV import + export. Export your items from Canny / ProductBoard, map columns to title / status / category / vote count, import. Comments and vote history don't migrate (those plugins don't expose them), but the items do.
Link to it from your support page, your changelog, your release notes, your newsletter footer. Add a 'Suggest a feature' button on relevant product pages. The plugin is the canvas, the distribution is your decision.
Pro adds unlimited product-specific roadmaps. Each gets its own settings, items, voters, and view. A SaaS with three apps runs three independent roadmaps; an agency with five clients runs five.
When you ship more than one product (multi-roadmap), or need stakeholder-facing visuals (Timeline / Gantt view), or want to export feedback into your analytics stack (CSV export), or want anonymous guest suggestions, or want voters to get email notifications when their items ship.
Yes. Activate per-site. Each site has its own roadmap items, votes, and categories.
