Industry Nonprofit and advocacy

Donation flows, member directories, advocacy on WordPress.

Nonprofits that are too big for Squarespace and too small for Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud. We ship the donation engine, the member directory, the event platform, and the advocacy tools without a seven-figure CRM.

15% nonprofit discount, retainers are scope-dependent

Why this industry

Nonprofits sit between Squarespace and Salesforce.

The website builders are too limited for donation flows, member directories, and advocacy. Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud is the right tool when you need full CRM functionality, but the price tag and the staffing requirement are out of reach for most the mid-market nonprofits. WordPress sits in the middle and does the work for a tenth of the budget.

We have shipped nonprofit WordPress since 2014 and we work with verified 501c3s at a 15 percent discount. The engineering still has to hold during year-end giving and we have not lost a December giving day in seven years.

What we work with

Who we ship for in nonprofits.

01

Nonprofits with the mid-market annual budgets

You are too big for a Squarespace site and too small for Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud. WordPress sits in the middle and does the work without the Salesforce price tag.

A donation and member platform at 10 percent of the enterprise CRM cost.

02

Advocacy organizations and political nonprofits

Action centers, petition flows, congressional contact tools, supporter segmentation, multi-campaign coordination. WordPress with custom advocacy plugins and integrations.

Advocacy campaigns that convert at 8 to 15 percent on the action-take page.

03

Foundations and grant-making organizations

Public grant directories, applicant portals, grantee dashboards, board packets, annual reports. The combination of public-facing content and applicant-facing tooling.

A foundation site that serves grantees without rebuilding the front-end every year.

04

Member-based associations

Member directories, dues collection, event registration, chapter sites, member-only content. Often paired with a Wild Apricot or YourMembership replacement, sometimes alongside an existing CRM.

A member experience that survives a board change without needing a re-platform.

What we build

The nonprofit engineering that holds during year-end.

01

Donation flows that actually convert

GiveWP, Donorbox, custom Stripe integrations. Recurring donations, dedications, tribute gifts, employer match, donor receipts, recurring upgrade flows.

Donation conversion rates 30 to 50 percent above hosted platforms.

02

Member directories and chapter sites

Searchable member directories, member-only content gating, chapter-specific subsites under multisite, dues collection, renewal flows, member-to-member messaging.

Member directories that 5,000-plus members use without a help desk team.

03

Event registration and ticketing

The Events Calendar, Event Espresso, custom builds. Multi-session conferences, free and paid events, member pricing, capacity limits, waitlists, post-event surveys.

Conference registration that scales from 50 to 5,000 attendees on the same platform.

04

CRM integrations

Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, Bloomerang, NeonCRM, Virtuous, Little Green Light, custom CRMs. Donor sync, supporter sync, event registration sync, action-take sync.

CRM data that matches the website without manual reconciliation.

05

Advocacy and action centers

Petition flows, congressional contact tools, social share automation, multi-campaign coordination, supporter segmentation. We integrate with Phone2Action, Quorum, or build custom.

Action centers that convert visitors at 10x the rate of a static site.

06

Managed maintenance retainers

Monthly retainers for nonprofits that do not have in-house developers. Security updates, backups, performance monitoring, content support, donation flow tuning.

A platform that does not break the week before year-end giving.

7

years without losing a year-end giving day

Donation infrastructure hardened, monitored, and on-call.

Common questions

Frequently asked

  1. Do you offer nonprofit pricing?

Yes. Verified 501c3 organizations get 15 percent off project work. Maintenance retainers for nonprofits are scoped per project. We do not bill at our enterprise rates for nonprofit work.

  2. How do you compare to Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud?

Salesforce is the right choice when you need deep CRM functionality, complex grant-making workflows, and you have a Salesforce admin on staff. WordPress is the right choice when you need a website plus donation flows plus member directory plus event registration without the seven-figure CRM. We integrate with Salesforce when you have it.

  3. How do you handle GDPR and donor data?

Donor data flows through your payment processor (Stripe, PayPal) which handles PCI compliance. Personal data on the WordPress install is stored encrypted at rest, audit logs cover access, and we configure the right cookie consent and privacy notices for your jurisdiction.

  4. Can you build advocacy action centers?

Yes. Petition flows, congressional contact tools through Phone2Action or Quorum, social share automation, supporter tagging and segmentation. We integrate with the major advocacy platforms or build custom for organizations that need it.

  5. What about year-end giving spikes?

We harden the donation infrastructure for the December peak. Object cache tuning, Stripe webhook resilience, automated backups, monitoring with alerting. We have not lost a year-end giving day in seven years.

  6. What does a nonprofit engagement cost?

Standard nonprofit websites are scope-dependent. Member directories and event registration platforms are scoped after discovery. Advocacy platforms with CRM integration are scoped after discovery. Discovery call is free.
