Platforms Learning

We build learning platforms, and we ship for every major LMS.

LearnDash, LifterLMS, Tutor and Sensei, plus Learnomy which is ours. Most LMS agencies are committed to one platform before you call. We are not, which is why our answer on which to use is worth something.

Products shipping across all four major LMS platforms, plus our own.
Cohort · spring intake completion 29%
  1. Enrolled 420 100%
  2. Opened lesson one 331 79% Nothing told them where to start
  3. Reached the midpoint 188 45% The long module nobody paced
  4. Completed 122 29% No nudge when they stalled

Every drop here has a cause you can build against. None of them is that the learners were not motivated enough.

Why this matters

Ask a LearnDash agency which LMS to use and you already know the answer.

Picking the platform is the decision that is most expensive to get wrong and hardest to reverse, and it is usually made on the recommendation of someone who only builds on one. We ship products across LearnDash, LifterLMS, Tutor and Sensei, and we maintain our own LMS as well. That is not a boast about breadth. It means when we say a platform is the wrong fit for what you are building, there is nothing in it for us either way.

What we ship for

Five platforms, and what each is actually good at.

Not a compatibility list. This is where each one genuinely fits, which is the conversation most people want and rarely get.

  • The largest ecosystem

    LearnDash

Where most serious course businesses land. We ship seven LearnDash products, including the instructor dashboard that the stock plugin does not give you.

  • Strong on memberships

    LifterLMS

Better when the course and the membership are the same product. Five LifterLMS products of ours, including the LearnMate front end.

  • Marketplace-shaped

    Tutor LMS

Suits multi-instructor course marketplaces. We ship the Reign integration and a dedicated theme for it.

  • Closest to WooCommerce

    Sensei

Worth considering when the store already runs WooCommerce and courses are another product line.

  • Our own LMS

    Learnomy

When none of the above fits and you want the engine maintained by the team building your platform. Ours, so we can change it when your build needs something it does not do.

What you get

The things that decide whether a course platform works.

Not feature lists. These are the decisions that separate a platform people finish from one they buy and abandon.

01

We have no horse in the race

Most LMS agencies are a LearnDash shop or a LifterLMS shop, so their recommendation is decided before the call. We ship across all four and build our own, which means we can tell you plainly which one fits.

Platform advice you can actually trust.

02

Completion is a product problem

Course completion rates are usually blamed on learners. They are more often about pacing, progress visibility, nudges and whether anyone notices when someone stalls.

Fewer students who buy and disappear.

03

Instructors need a real interface

Most LMS plugins give the site owner a good admin and give instructors almost nothing. We build the panel that makes a multi-instructor platform run without you in the middle.

A platform that scales past one teacher.

04

Reporting the business can act on

Enrolment, progress, completion, revenue per course and where students drop. Exportable, and not five plugins disagreeing with each other.

Numbers you can make decisions from.

05

Video and media that hold up

Hosting, protection, bandwidth and playback across devices. Course video is where budgets quietly disappear when it is not planned.

Media costs you decided on deliberately.

06

Built to hand over

Documented, and built on engines you can keep using whether or not we stay involved. Course platforms outlive agency relationships.

No dependency by design.

major WordPress LMS platforms we ship products for, plus our own

LearnDash, LifterLMS, Tutor and Sensei, alongside Learnomy. Very few teams can say that, and it is why our platform recommendation is not decided in advance.

What it costs

Learning platform pricing depends on how much of a platform you need.

A course area on an existing site and a multi-instructor platform with revenue share are the same sentence and very different projects. Here is what moves the number.

What moves the number

  • Who teaches One instructor is a course site. Many instructors means onboarding, permissions, revenue share and payouts, which is a different build.
  • How you sell One-off purchases, subscriptions, bundles, cohorts or corporate seats each change the commerce layer underneath.
  • Video and media Hosting, protection and bandwidth at your volume. Decided early it is a line item; decided late it is a problem.
  • Reporting depth Completion and revenue per course is straightforward. Cohort analysis and drop-off attribution is real reporting work.

Small, well-defined work is usually better handled as an hourly block than scoped as a project, and we will say so rather than inflate it into one.

Common questions

Frequently asked

  1. Which LMS should we use?

It depends on whether you are selling courses, running memberships, hosting many instructors, or teaching internally. LearnDash has the largest ecosystem, LifterLMS is stronger where courses and membership are the same product, Tutor suits marketplaces, and Sensei makes sense if you already run WooCommerce. We ship for all four and build our own, so we have nothing riding on the answer.

  2. Can you migrate us from Teachable, Thinkific or Kajabi?

Yes. Content is the straightforward half. Carrying students, enrolments and progress across is the part that decides whether people stay, and it is where these migrations usually go wrong.

  3. Do we need a community as well?

Not always, but cohort courses finish considerably more often when learners can see and talk to each other. If that is the shape of your product, the community is not an add-on, it is half the thing.

  4. What about many instructors?

That is a different build. Instructor onboarding, permissions, revenue share, payouts and a panel they can actually work in. We ship the instructor dashboard for LearnDash precisely because the stock plugin does not cover it.

  5. How do you handle course video?

Deliberately, and early. Where it is hosted, whether it is protected, what bandwidth costs at your volume, and how it plays on a phone on mobile data. Left to the end, video is where the budget goes.

  6. What does it cost?

Learning platform builds are estimated against scope rather than sold at a list price. A course area added to an existing site and a multi-instructor platform with payouts are very different projects, and the section above sets out what moves the number.
