Is it really free?
Yes. Every feature, every integration, and every admin screen ships in the free plugin under GPLv2. No paid add-ons, no license key, no per-site limits. Updates are delivered to your dashboard automatically.

Does it require BuddyPress or any other plugin?
No. It works on plain WordPress on its own. BuddyPress, WooCommerce, LearnDash, and seven more are auto-detected when present, but none are required for the plugin to run.

How is it different from GamiPress or MyCred?
GamiPress and MyCred are free at the core but charge for each integration as a separate add-on. WB Gamification ships every integration, the redemption store, cohort leagues, and webhooks in the free core. If you only need one integration, GamiPress works. If you run a community with several, WB Gamification removes the add-on cost.

Will it slow down my site?
No. The award pipeline runs on Action Scheduler off the request path, and leaderboard reads are single-row lookups against a materialised totals table. It is built and benchmarked for 100,000-plus members.

Can I use it with a mobile app?
Yes. 56 REST endpoints plus an OpenAPI spec and an API-key header give first-class access for mobile, headless, and cross-site setups. The admin UI consumes the same API.
