Whatever your site already does. Publishing, commenting, buying, completing a lesson, joining a group, giving kudos. Each integration ships its own set of scored actions and you set the value of each one.

No, and this is the main difference from the alternatives. Cohort leagues, community challenges, the redemption store, badge sharing, webhooks and every integration are in the free plugin. There is no Pro edition and no add-on store.
Pick one of five starter templates and it is configured. Everything is editable afterwards, but you do not have to design a points economy before you can switch it on.
That is what cohort leagues are for. Members compete in small groups with weekly promotion and demotion, so someone who joined last week competes with peers rather than with your all-time leader.
Spend them. The redemption store lets them exchange points for rewards you define, or for WooCommerce coupons.
Only if the member shares them. Every badge is private until they press Share, and a shared badge gets a public page with an OpenBadges 3.0 credential and a LinkedIn deep link.
