The complete in-house stack
One theme. Most of the stack, built in-house.
Reign comes themed for the Wbcom family, so most of what your PeepSo community needs is made by the same team that makes the theme. One vendor, one support desk, no plugin-versus-plugin conflicts to debug. These plugins run on any WordPress site, so switch on forums, media, gamification, courses, jobs, or a directory whenever you grow into them. The third-party plugins you already use are fully supported on top, as a plus.

PeepSo over BuddyPress
Why builders pick PeepSo. Six honest reasons.
We build Reign for both engines. If you are choosing between them, here is what PeepSo gets right that BuddyPress does not. Same Wbcom team, same support, different engine fit.
-
Real-time without a separate plugin
PeepSo Chat, VideoChat, and live notifications are WebSocket-backed out of the box. On BuddyPress you bolt on BuddyBoss platform or a third-party plugin to get the same.
-
Mobile-native from the start
PeepSo was built mobile-first. Stream, comments, chat, notifications all tested on small viewports before desktop. Less work for theme authors and admins.
-
Modular Pro pricing
Pay only for the PeepSo Pro modules you actually use. No bundle of features you will never enable. Lighter database, fewer settings to wade through.
-
Simpler admin
PeepSo settings live in one menu with sensible defaults. BuddyPress + add-ons stack settings across five or six admin pages. Onboarding a new admin takes minutes, not days.
-
Built-in spam protection
PeepSo ships with its own spam detection for member-generated content. No Akismet bill, no third-party honeypot service.
-
Lighter footprint
PeepSo core is roughly 60% the size of the BuddyPress + add-ons stack with comparable feature parity. Faster page loads on shared hosting, less to debug.

New: BuddyNext engine
Want a faster engine? Reign now runs on BuddyNext.
BuddyNext is our new free community engine, built for speed and performance, API-first and ready to scale to large communities. Everything on this page stays fully supported. If you want the fastest, most modern Reign, the new Reign Theme page runs on BuddyNext.
