In this tutorial you will save a post as a draft, and come back to finish it later. You need the free WB Member Blog plugin, installed and active, and a role that may write. It takes about two minutes. There are four steps. Open the writing page. Write a little, then save a draft. Find your draft. Then open it and finish.
Step one. Open the writing page. Signed in as a member, open My Blog Dashboard, your blog home. Create Post is at the top. Click it. The writing page opens, with an empty form.
Step two. Write a little, then save a draft. Type a title. Add a few words in the box below. A draft does not have to be finished. At the foot of the form, Save Draft keeps your post as a draft, so no reader can see it. Click it when you want to stop for now.
Step three. Find your draft. Every draft you save waits on the Drafts tab of My Blog Dashboard. Each draft is a row, with the date you last edited it and its category. Here is a sketch post that is waiting for you.
Step four. Open it and finish. Click Edit on the draft. The writing page opens with your title, your words, your tags and your image exactly as you left them. Carry on writing. When the post is ready, use the main button at the foot of the form to send it, or save the draft again.
That is all four. The writing page, a little written and saved as a draft, the draft found on the Drafts tab, and opened to finish. You can now stop mid-post and come back to it. Next in this series: Add a category, tags and a featured image.
