In this tutorial you will set the two pages WB Member Blog needs. One where members write, and one where they manage their posts. You need the free WB Member Blog plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are five steps. Open the Pages tab. Set the writing page. Set the dashboard page. Save your choice. Then check both pages.

Step one. Open the Pages tab. In your WordPress admin, open WB Plugins, then Member Blog, and click Pages under Settings. When the plugin is first turned on, it creates both pages for you. Use this tab when a page was deleted, renamed, or needs replacing.

Step two. Set the writing page. The first card is Blog Post Submission Page. Members write their posts on this page, and it must hold the shortcode named here. The green line names the page in use. Here it is Add new post. View Page opens it. To use another page, pick it from this list. Or click Auto Create Page. It makes the page with the shortcode already in it, or repairs the page you have, and saves the choice on its own.

Step three. Set the dashboard page. The second card is Member Blog Dashboard Page. Members view and manage their posts there. It works the same way. Here it is set to My Blog Dashboard, which holds the dashboard shortcode. Pick a page from the list, or click Auto Create Page. If the page you save is missing its shortcode, the card warns you.

Step four. Save your choice. If you picked a page from a list, click Save Settings at the foot of the tab. Until you save, your pages stay as they were.

Step five. Check both pages. Sign in as a member and open the writing page. The post form is here, with the title, the content and the post settings. Then open the dashboard page, My Blog Dashboard. The member's posts are listed, and Create Post leads back to the writing page.

That is all five. The Pages tab, the writing page, the dashboard page, saved, and both pages checked. Your members now have a place to write, and a place to manage their posts. Next in this series: Choose who can write blog posts.
