How to Send Followers a Digest Email in WB Member Blog
How to send members a digest email of new posts by the writers they follow, with WB Member Blog, step by step. Open WB Plugins, then Member Blog, then Features and switch on Digest email, then click Save Features. It sends email to your members, so it starts off, Turn everything on leaves it alone, and it needs Follow writers on. On the Content tab, Follow digest frequency is Weekly or Daily, Weekly by default; click Save Settings. With WB Member Blog Pro, each member opens My Blog Dashboard, then the Settings tab, and under Writers you follow ticks Send me a digest of what the writers I follow have published; it is off until they do. A digest lists up to twelve new posts by the writers and topics the member follows, and is never sent when there is nothing new.

In this tutorial you will send members a regular email of new posts by the writers they follow. You need WB Member Blog Pro, because members choose to receive the digest in their Pro settings. It takes about two minutes. There are four steps. Turn on Digest email. Choose how often it goes out. Members ask for the digest. Then know what it holds.
Step one. Turn on Digest email. Open WB Plugins, then Member Blog, then Features. Digest email is the last switch, under In Member Blog. It sends email to your members, so it starts off, and Turn everything on leaves it alone. It needs Follow writers to be on. Switch it on, then click Save Features.
Step two. Choose how often it goes out. Open the Content tab, and find Follow digest frequency. Pick Weekly or Daily from the list. Weekly is the default. Then click Save Settings at the foot of the tab.
Step three. Members ask for the digest. With Pro, each member opens My Blog Dashboard, then the Settings tab. Under Writers you follow, they tick Send me a digest of what the writers I follow have published, and click Save Preferences. It is off for every member until they tick it.
Step four. Know what it holds. The digest lists up to twelve new posts by the writers and topics the member follows. As the note says, it is never sent when there is nothing new to show.
