How to open a writer's profile page with WB Member Blog, step by step. As the site owner, open WB Plugins, then Member Blog, then Features and switch on Writer profiles, then click Save Features; it replaces your theme's author page, so it starts off. Each writer's profile lives at your site's address followed by /author/ and the writer's name. It shows their picture, name and bio, how many posts they have, how often they were read and how many members follow them. Signed-in members get a Follow button. Below the header is every post the writer published, newest first, twelve to a page. With WB Member Blog Pro's Co-Authors module, posts the writer co-wrote are included too.

In this tutorial you will open a writer's profile page, with their posts, views and followers. You need the free WB Member Blog plugin, installed and active. It takes about two minutes. There are four steps. Turn on writer profiles. Open a writer's profile. Follow the writer. Then browse their posts.

Step one. Turn on writer profiles. As the site owner, open WB Plugins, then Member Blog, then Features. Writer profiles is the first switch. It gives each member a profile page with their posts. It replaces your theme's author page, so it starts off. Switch it on and click Save Features.

Step two. Open a writer's profile. The page lives at your site's address, followed by author and the writer's name. On a BuddyNext site, writer names open the member profile instead, so use this address to reach the page. It shows the writer's picture, name and bio, then how many posts they have, how often they were read, and how many members follow them.

Step three. Follow the writer. Signed in as a member, a Follow button sits beside the header. Click it, and the writer's new posts show on your Following tab. Visitors who are not signed in do not see the button.

Step four. Browse their posts. Below the header is every post the writer published, newest first, twelve to a page. Click a title to read the post. With WB Member Blog Pro, posts they co-wrote appear here too, like the first one.

That is all four. Writer profiles on, a writer's profile opened, the writer followed, and their posts. You can now open any writer's own page. Next in this series: Show related posts under each article.
