How to Read a Post and Clap for It in WB Member Blog
How to read a member's post and clap for it with WB Member Blog, step by step. Under the picture, a post shows how long it takes to read, how many words it has and how many times it was read. After the last paragraph, a visitor sees the clap count and a link to log in to clap and save, and the author box invites visitors to join to follow writers. Signed in, a member gets a clap button: each click adds one clap, up to fifty from one reader, and the number is every reader's claps together. Post cards in lists show the same count, and you can clap from a card too.

In this tutorial you will read a member's post and clap for it, to show the writer you liked it. You need the free WB Member Blog plugin, with Claps and Clap and save under the article turned on. It takes about two minutes. There are four steps. Open a post. See what a visitor sees. Sign in and clap. Then find claps on post lists.
Step one. Open a post. Any member's post on your site works. This one is by Sara Lindqvist. Under the picture, WB Member Blog shows how long the post takes to read, how many words it has, and how many times it was read.
Step two. See what a visitor sees. After the last paragraph is the clap count, with a link to log in to clap and save. Below it, the author box shows who wrote the post, and invites visitors to join to follow writers.
Step three. Sign in and clap. Signed in as a member, the same place holds a clap button with a hand, and a save button beside it. Click the hand to clap. Each click adds one clap, and one reader can give a post up to fifty. The number beside the hand is every reader's claps added together. The hand and the number are coloured here because this member has already clapped.
Step four. Find claps on post lists. Post cards show the same clap count, so readers can see which posts others liked. You can clap from a card too, without opening the post.
That is all four. A post opened, what a visitor sees, a clap as a member, and claps on post lists. You can now clap for the posts you enjoy. Next in this series: Save posts to your reading list.
