In this tutorial you will follow a writer, follow a topic, and read their new posts in one place. You need the free WB Member Blog plugin, with Follow writers, Topic hubs and Clap and save under the article turned on. It takes about three minutes. There are four steps. Follow a writer from a post. Follow a topic. See who you follow. Then read their new posts.
Step one. Follow a writer from a post. Signed in, scroll to the end of any post. The author box shows who wrote it, with a Follow button. Click Follow, and the button changes to Following. Click it again to stop following. This Follow belongs to WB Member Blog. It is separate from the Follow button on a member's profile.
Step two. Follow a topic. Click a category name on a post to open its topic page. At the top, beside the topic's name, is a Follow button. Follow a topic, and its new posts come to you too, whoever writes them.
Step three. See who you follow. Open My Blog Dashboard and click the Following tab. Writers you follow and Topics you follow list them. This member follows three writers and one topic. Point at Following, and it reads Unfollow. Click it to stop following that writer.
Step four. Read their new posts. Under Latest from people you follow are the newest posts from the writers and topics you follow. Click a title to read the post. And when a writer you follow publishes, WB Member Blog sends you an email by default.
That is all four. A writer followed from a post, a topic followed, who you follow, and their new posts. You can now follow the writers and topics you like. Next in this series: Comment on a member's post.
