How to Browse a Topic Hub in WB Member Blog

How to browse a topic hub with WB Member Blog, step by step. Click a post's category name to open its topic hub: the topic's name, how many posts it has and how many members follow it. Writers on this topic shows the members who write most about it, once two or more do, with View Posts to open the writer's member profile. Below them, every post in the topic is listed, newest first, twelve to a page. Tag pages work the same way. Signed-in members can follow a category from its hub, so its new posts show on their Following tab.

In this tutorial you will open a topic hub, the page for one category, with its writers and its posts. You need the free WB Member Blog plugin, with Topic hubs turned on. It takes about two minutes. There are four steps. Open a topic. Meet the writers on this topic. Browse its posts. Then follow the topic.

Step one. Open a topic. On any post, click its category name, above the title. The topic hub opens. It shows the topic's name, how many posts it has, and how many members follow it.

Step two. Meet the writers on this topic. Under the header are the members who write most about it, with how many posts each wrote here. View Posts opens the writer's member profile. This section shows once two or more members write on the topic.

Step three. Browse its posts. Below the writers, every post in the topic is listed, newest first, twelve to a page. Click a title to read the post. Tag pages work the same way, as a hub for that tag.

Step four. Follow the topic. Signed in as a member, the header has a Follow button. Click Follow, and new posts in this topic show on your Following tab, whoever writes them. Only categories can be followed, not tags.

That is all four. A topic opened, its writers, its posts, and the topic followed. You can now explore your site one topic at a time. Next in this series: Open a writer's profile page.
