How much does it cost to hire a WordPress agency?

Our development work is $60 an hour, billed per hour logged. Monthly developer hours start at 10 hours ($600 a month), an hour basket starts at 15 hours ($900), and fixed-price projects are quoted within 48 hours of a free 30-minute call. Ongoing maintenance runs on care plans from $99 a month.

What is your hourly rate for WordPress development?

$60 an hour, a blended team rate across WordPress, WooCommerce, Laravel, Astro and AI automation: it covers the analysis, front-end, back-end and QA effort a job needs, not the hour of one person. Every hour is logged, with a written summary of what was done.

Should I hire a freelancer or an agency?

A freelancer suits a small, well-defined task. An agency suits work that has to keep going when one person is away, or that needs several skills at once. We sit in between: senior engineers at $60 an hour, a team that covers for each other, and care plans after launch.

Who will work on my project?

Senior engineers from our own team, the same people who build and maintain our WordPress products. There is no sales team in between.

Can I talk to the founder before I decide?

Yes. Varun Dubey, who founded Wbcom Designs in 2013, takes discovery calls himself. Book a 30-minute call from this page.

What does it cost to look after the site after launch?

Our WordPress care plans start at $99 a month per site and cover tested updates, off-site backups, malware removal and 24/7 monitoring.

Hourly or fixed price: which should I choose?

Fixed price suits a defined scope, such as a new build, a migration or a redesign. Hours suit an evolving list of features and fixes. Not sure? Pick "Not sure yet" on the form and we will recommend one on the call.

How fast will you reply?

A senior engineer reads every enquiry, usually the same day, Monday to Friday. There is no sales team in between.

How will we communicate during the project?

Every project runs on its own Basecamp board, where you see tasks, files and progress. Enterprise clients also get a shared Slack channel for direct contact with the engineers; everyone else works with us over email. You get a status email every Friday.

Will you sign an NDA?

Yes. Tick the NDA box on the form and we sign your NDA before the first technical conversation.

What can you build?

WordPress sites and plugins, WooCommerce stores, communities on BuddyPress, BuddyNext and PeepSo, LearnDash course platforms, headless and Astro sites, Laravel web apps and SaaS products, and AI and marketing automation.

Do you work with agencies?

Yes. We work white label for agencies: development under your brand, and white-label care plans from $699 per site, per month.

How do I pay?

Hours are paid by card at secure Stripe checkout, $60 an hour. We suggest blocks of 20 hours (20, 40 or 60); 15 is the minimum for a very small job. Returning clients top up the same way whenever an estimate in email or Basecamp needs more hours. Monthly hours and fixed-price projects are set up with you after the first call.
