The situation
Fearless Living Institute trains people to become life coaches. A certification is more than a course. Students move through units, log coaching hours, work with mentors and need sign-off at each stage. The people who guide them need to see who is in their group and what each student has done, without seeing anyone else’s.
The platform itself is a members-only site, so the screenshot shows the institute’s public landing page and this page describes what sits behind the login.
What the site has
- Courses and units. Certification courses on LearnDash, with units that stay locked until the hour requirement is met.
- Roles for every part of the program. Student, mentor, group leader and administrator, each with its own dashboard and its own view of the program.
- A mentor and group leader dashboard. Mentors see the students assigned to them, follow their progress by course, approve submitted hours and export a report.
- Hour tracking. Students submit coaching hours and the right person approves them. Approved hours count toward unlocking the next unit.
- Checklists. Customisable checklists with drag-and-drop ordering, visible by role, with a five-month sequence for pacing a cohort.
- Favourites. Students can save the lessons they come back to.
- Live events. A calendar of live sessions through The Events Calendar.
- Automatic access. Student tags decide who sees which content, and email and enrolment follow from them without anyone doing it by hand.

What it makes possible
A certification program that scales past what one person can track. Mentors see exactly their students, students see exactly what is next, and the institute’s team is not copying hours into spreadsheets.
