A roadmap is easier to read when items are sorted. Statuses are the stages work moves through, and categories are the areas of your product customers can filter by. You need a site running the free Product Roadmap plugin. It takes about a minute. It shows steps one and two of the full video, Organise your roadmap and match your brand.

Step one. Edit your Statuses. A status is a stage, such as Idea, Planned, In Progress or Completed. Open Roadmap, then Statuses. Add New Status makes a stage of your own. Name, Slug and Description are all it needs.

Step two. Edit your Categories. A category is an area of your product, such as Editor, Sync or Sharing. Add New Category works the same way. Customers can filter the roadmap by category. A roadmap that reads at a glance. For the whole job, watch the full video, Organise your roadmap and match your brand.
