This is a tour of Product Roadmap, the plugin that shows customers your plans and collects their votes and ideas. The first three steps use the free plugin. The last three need Product Roadmap Pro. It takes about four minutes. Six steps. Show your roadmap. Listen to customers. Organise and announce. Show it your way. Plan and collect more. Then decide and automate. If you build a product, you want to know what customers want, and they want to know what you are building. One roadmap page answers both. Customers read your plans and vote, and you build what people ask for, so they stay.

Step one. Show your roadmap. This public page lists your items by due date, with votes and comments. The first video, Show customers what you are building, sets it up. Filters, search and a Suggest Feature button let customers find an item or ask for a new one.

Step two. Listen to customers. In Settings, Who Can Vote and Who Can Suggest Ideas decide who takes part, signed in or not. That is the second video. Notifications tells you by email when someone votes, comments or suggests. Under All Items, Pending holds new suggestions, ready to approve. Moving an item forward and replying to comments keep customers in the loop. That is the third video.

Step three. Organise and announce. Statuses are your stages, such as Idea, Planned and In Progress. Categories group items by area. Video four covers both. Under Changelog, each release is an entry with New, Improved and Fixed changes. Video five publishes release notes.

Step four. Show it your way. Pro adds a Board, a Timeline, Cards and a List. Video seven shows them. The Timeline lays items out by target date. And each product gets its own roadmap and changelog. This is Lumen Mobile. Video six sets that up.

Step five. Plan and collect more. Products lists your separate roadmaps, each with its own shortcode. On the Advanced tab, Enable drag and drop lets you reorder items by hand. Video eight covers planning in a long list. Allow guest suggestions and the Feedback Widget collect ideas from visitors. Guest Suggestions holds them. Video nine shows more ways to collect ideas.

Step six. Decide and automate. Analytics shows votes over time and your Popular Items. Export CSV takes the data away. Video ten helps you decide what to build next. On an item, Merge Duplicates folds a copy into the original, and the votes come with it. Enable digest emails, Enable webhooks and the Import and Export tab, for CSV in and out, keep work moving without logging in. That is video eleven.

That is all six. The roadmap shown, customers listened to, items organised and announced, a layout for every audience, planning and ideas, and decisions and automation. Start with the first job, a public roadmap. Next in this series: Show customers what you are building.
