In this tutorial you will move your members in from another plugin and connect other apps in WB Gamification. You need the free WB Gamification plugin, installed and active. It takes about four minutes. There are three steps. Import from another plugin. Send events with Webhooks. Then create an API key. You may already have members with points in another plugin. Starting from zero would lose their effort. Move them over, and send game events to the apps your team already uses.
Step one. Import from another plugin. Open Import. It moves points, badges and ranks from GamiPress, myCred or BadgeOS. On this site there is nothing to import yet. When a source plugin has data, its options and a preview appear here.
Step two. Send events with Webhooks. Open Webhooks. Endpoint URL is where an app such as Zapier, Make or n8n listens. Secret signs each message. Under Events, tick what to send, such as badge earned or level changed. Then click Add Webhook. Configured Webhooks lists each one, so you can see what is connected.
Step three. Create an API key. Open API Keys. An app that reads your game needs its own key. Give it a Label and a Site ID, then click Generate Key. The key is shown once, so copy it then.
That is all three. An import previewed, events sent with Webhooks, and an API key created. Your game is now connected. Next in this series: Check the game is keeping members active.
