In this tutorial you will let feedback come to you: a digest by email, branded notification emails, events sent to your tools, and CSV in and out. You need the free Product Roadmap plugin and Product Roadmap Pro. It takes about five minutes. Four steps. Enable digest emails. Edit the Email Notification Templates. Enable webhooks. Then export and import CSV. Feedback should not mean one more dashboard to check every day. With a digest, branded emails, webhooks and CSV, the news reaches you and your team where you already work.

Step one. Enable digest emails. On the Advanced tab, under Pro Features, Enable digest emails sends a summary of roadmap activity. Digest Frequency sets how often: Daily, Weekly or Monthly. Click Save Settings to keep it.

Step two. Edit the Email Notification Templates. The Emails tab has a template for each message. Comment Notification and Suggestion Notification are the same. Each has an Email Subject and an Email Message. Status Change Notification is what your customers get when you move an item. Write it in your own voice, then click Save Settings.

Step three. Enable webhooks. On the Advanced tab, Enable webhooks sends a notice to outside services when something happens. A webhook lets your chat or your project tools hear about a new vote or idea at once. Click Save Settings to turn it on.

Step four. Export and import CSV. On the Import and Export tab, Export Roadmap Items filters by Product, Status and Date Range. Click Export to CSV for a file you can open in a spreadsheet. Import Roadmap Items takes a CSV File, with a Default Product and Default Status, and can skip duplicate titles. Download Sample CSV shows the layout.

That is all four. Digest emails enabled, the email templates edited, webhooks enabled, and CSV exported and imported. Feedback now comes to you. Next in this series: Everything you can do with Product Roadmap.
