In this tutorial you will collect more ideas, including from people who will never write you an email. You need the free Product Roadmap plugin and Product Roadmap Pro. It takes about five minutes. Five steps. Open the Idea Box. Take suggestions from visitors. Review Guest Suggestions. Set up the Feedback Widget. Then see the feedback button. Most customers have ideas, and most will never write an email to share one. Make it a click. An Idea Box, a floating button and suggestions from visitors bring you ideas you would never hear.
Step one. Open the Idea Box. Priya is a customer. The Idea Box lists ideas with big vote buttons, most popular first. Top Voted, Newest and Most Discussed change the order. Click Newest to see the latest ideas.
Step two. Take suggestions from visitors. This visitor is not signed in. Suggest Feature is still on the page. They type a Feature Title and a Description, then click Submit Suggestion. No account is needed.
Step three. Review Guest Suggestions. In Roadmap, Guest Suggestions, every idea from a visitor waits for you. Point at a row, and Approve and Convert turns the idea into a roadmap item for customers to vote on.
Step four. Set up the Feedback Widget. On the Advanced tab, Allow guest suggestions switches visitor ideas on. Under Feedback Widget, Enable feedback widget shows a floating button on every page of your site. Button Text, Button Color and Position make it yours. Click Save Settings when you are done.
Step five. See the feedback button. On any page, visitors see Feedback at the bottom right. One click opens a short form, so sharing an idea takes seconds.
That is all five. The Idea Box opened, visitor suggestions taken, Guest Suggestions reviewed, the Feedback Widget set up, and the feedback button seen. Now ideas can reach you from every visitor. Next in this series: Decide what to build next.
