In this tutorial you will run a separate roadmap and change log for each product, so customers see only what matters to them. You need the free Product Roadmap plugin and Product Roadmap Pro, with a licence key. It takes about five minutes. Six steps. Install Product Roadmap Pro. Activate your License Key. Add a product. Give a product its own change log. See the product roadmap. Then move items between products. When you sell more than one product, customers of each want different things, and one mixed list helps none of them. Pro gives every product its own roadmap and change log, so each group of customers sees its own plans.

Step one. Install Product Roadmap Pro. It is a second plugin that sits beside the free one. Open Plugins, click Add Plugin, and upload the Pro file. Activate it, and Pro appears in the list next to Product Roadmap. Pro needs the free plugin to stay active.

Step two. Activate your License Key. Open Roadmap, Settings, then the License tab. License Management is where Pro is tied to your site. You type the key from your purchase email into License Key and click Activate. The tab then reads License is active, with your details. Site Activations shows how many sites use the key.

Step three. Add a product. With Pro, Roadmap has a Products screen. Each card is one product, with its item count. Click Add New Product, and give it a name. Each card shows its own Short code, ready to paste on a page. View Items lists that product only. View Roadmap opens its public page.

Step four. Give a product its own change log. Open a change log entry. On the right, open Products. Choose the product this release belongs to. Then click Save. The entry shows only on that product change log.

Step five. See the product roadmap. This is the Lumen Mobile change log. It lists only Lumen Mobile releases. A page gets it with the roadmap change log short code and the product set. The roadmap page works the same way, one product each.

Step six. Move items between products. In All Items, the Product column shows which product each item belongs to. Tick items, choose Move to product in Bulk actions, and pick the product. Click Apply to move them in one go. On the Advanced tab, the Pro Features switches turn the Timeline, drag and drop and webhooks on or off.

That is all six. Pro installed, the License Key activated, a product added, a change log given to a product, the product roadmap seen, and items moved between products. Each product now has its own roadmap. Next in this series: Show your roadmap the way that suits you.
