In this tutorial you will decide what to build next: merge duplicate requests so votes add up, then read the votes, comments and activity. You need the free Product Roadmap plugin and Product Roadmap Pro. It takes about four minutes. Four steps. Merge Duplicates. Show customers My Feedback. Read the Analytics Dashboard. Then Export CSV. Customers ask for the same thing in different words, so the votes split, and the real favourite looks small. Merge the duplicates and the votes add up. Then read the numbers, and you build what most customers want.

Step one. Merge Duplicates. Night theme asks for the same thing as Dark mode for the editor. Open Night theme. On the right, Merge Duplicates has a Target item. Search for the item to keep. Merge Into Selected moves the votes and comments to that item, skipping people who voted twice. This item is then trashed.

Step two. Show customers My Feedback. Pro adds a page for each signed in customer. This is Hana Brooks, with her Votes, Submissions and Comments. Recent Votes lists what she backed. Recent Submissions lists her own ideas and their votes. A customer who can see their own impact keeps coming back to vote.

Step three. Read the Analytics Dashboard. Open Roadmap, then Analytics. The top row counts Total Items, Total Votes, Total Comments and Active Users. Items by Status and Votes Over Time show where your list stands and when customers were active. Popular Items ranks what customers want most. That is your next build.

Step four. Export CSV. Recent Activity lists the latest views and votes, with dates. Refresh reloads the numbers. Export CSV downloads them, to share or to open in a spreadsheet.

That is all four. Duplicates merged, My Feedback shown, the Analytics Dashboard read, and Export CSV found. Now you can see what to build next. Next in this series: Run feedback without logging in all day.
