How to Collect Guest Suggestions in Product Roadmap Pro

In this tutorial you will let visitors who are not signed in send you ideas, and review what they send. You need the free Product Roadmap plugin and Product Roadmap Pro. It takes about three minutes. Four steps. Allow guest suggestions. Set the Guest Suggestion Notification Email. See the form as a visitor. Then review Guest Suggestions. Many people who like your product have no account on your site, and will never make one to tell you an idea. Guest suggestions let anyone send an idea, and you decide what reaches your roadmap. More ideas, with you in control.

Step one. Allow guest suggestions. On the Advanced tab, under Pro Features, Allow guest suggestions lets logged out visitors send ideas. It is ticked here. Click Save Settings after you change it.

Step two. Set the Guest Suggestion Notification Email. Below the switches, this field says where to send a note for each new guest idea. Leave it blank and the note goes to your site admin address. Click Save Settings to keep a change.

Step three. See the form as a visitor. Nobody is signed in. Suggest Feature is on the page. Besides the Feature Title and the Description, a guest is asked for a name and an email. The plugin limits each visitor to a few ideas an hour, so nobody can flood your list. Cancel closes the box.

Step four. Review Guest Suggestions. Every idea from a guest waits here for you, and it is not public yet. Point at a row, and Approve and Convert turns the idea into a roadmap item for customers to vote on.

That is all four. Guest suggestions allowed, the notification email set, the guest form seen, and the ideas reviewed. Now visitors can send you ideas. Next in this series: Decide what to build next.
