In this tutorial you will run challenges and leagues in WB Gamification, with a deadline, a shared goal and weekly leagues. You need the free WB Gamification plugin, installed and active. It takes about four minutes. There are four steps. Create a challenge. Set a community goal. Set up Cohort Leagues. Then see it as a member. Points alone drift. Members need a goal and a deadline to act now. A challenge gives a target. A community goal gives everyone one together. Leagues let newcomers win too.

Step one. Create a challenge. Open Challenges. Give it a Title, choose an Action, and set a Target Count. Bonus Points are paid on completion. Start Date and End Date set the window. Then click Create Challenge. All Challenges lists the active and the finished ones, with their status.

Step two. Set a community goal. Community Challenges count what everyone does together toward one Target Count. The Progress column shows how close the community is. When it reaches the goal, members earn the Bonus Points.

Step three. Set up Cohort Leagues. Click Cohort Leagues. Members are placed in small groups, so a newcomer competes with peers. Tier Names sets the league names. Promotion percent moves the top members up, Demotion percent moves the bottom down.

Step four. See it as a member. Hana sees her challenges, and the Community goal with its shared progress. Your league shows her place among her group this week.

That is all four. A challenge created, a community goal set, Cohort Leagues set up, and everything seen as a member. Your members now have goals and a deadline. Next in this series: Let members thank each other.
