How to Create Friendly Competition in WB Gamification
How to create friendly competition with a leaderboard in WB Gamification, the free WordPress plugin. Add the Gamification Leaderboard block and set its Period, see the ranked members as a member, and show Top Members as a podium.

In this tutorial you will create friendly competition in WB Gamification, with a leaderboard and a top members podium. You need the free WB Gamification plugin, installed and active. It takes about three minutes. There are three steps. Add the Leaderboard. See the Leaderboard. Then show Top Members. Members like to see who is leading, and where they stand. A leaderboard adds a little healthy competition, and gives every member a rank to improve.
Step one. Add the Leaderboard. This page holds two blocks, the Gamification Leaderboard and Top Members. Select the Leaderboard block to change its Period, such as day, week, month or all time, and how many members it lists. Then click Save, and the board is live.
Step two. See the Leaderboard. Members are ranked by points for the period you chose, here This Week. Hana can find her own place, with the points and badges of everyone around her.
Step three. Show Top Members. This block celebrates the leaders as a podium. Place it beside the leaderboard or on the home page, so everyone sees who is doing well.
That is all three. The Leaderboard added, seen as a member, and Top Members shown. Your members now have someone to beat. Next in this series: Look up, support and protect your members.
