Daily rewards, points and badges. What are they, and how do you add them to a website? A daily reward is a small number of points that a member earns for showing up each day. A bonus for the first visit. A streak that grows. And badges and levels built on top. Here is how it works. A member makes their first visit of the day. Bonus points arrive, without them doing anything else. Their run of days grows by one, and a longer run makes tomorrow worth more. The bonus is not flat. It steps up on day three, day seven, day fourteen and day thirty. Miss a day, and the count starts again. That is the reason people come back. Next to it runs an activity streak. It counts the days a member did something that earns points. One missed day is forgiven, so a busy weekend does not wipe out a month. And milestones like seven, thirty and a hundred days pay a bonus. Here it is on a real WordPress site. A member votes in a poll, and earns a point for it. On the member hub, the points, the streak and the next goal sit in one place. And the badges they have earned are shown on their profile. Points fade into a total. A badge stays. It can mark a points total, a number of actions, or a level reached. A streak kept. Years as a member. Or being the first person to do something. Thirty badges come ready made, and you can create your own. Levels turn the total into a rank. There are five to begin with, from Newcomer up to Champion. You can rename each one, and move the points it takes to reach it. The site owner sets all of this from the WordPress admin. The level names and thresholds are here. And each badge has a rule, so it is awarded without anyone handing it out. Every member can see their own rank this month, which gives the daily visit a point. So what does the owner gain? Members with a reason to visit today, not someday. Regulars you can recognise at a glance, by their level and their badges. And a daily habit that forms on your own website, not on a platform you rent. Put the two side by side. No reason to visit today, or a bonus waiting each day. Activity in bursts, or a streak worth keeping. Effort that goes unseen, or badges on the profile. Members who all look the same, or levels that show who stayed. Your members already keep streaks in other apps. Each day your site has none, the daily habit belongs to someone else.
