Built for
Six audiences already using WP Sell Services Pro in production.
Each of these started with a specific community problem. Pick the one closest to yours and use it as a starting template.
Marketplaces outgrowing manual payouts
Scheduled automated payouts run weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly and bulk-process every eligible vendor. Stripe Connect splits platform fees at your configured commission rate. You stop being the bottleneck on payday.
Platforms selling retainers and subscriptions
Vendors enable recurring billing in the Create Service wizard. Customers pause, resume, and cancel their own subscriptions from My Subscriptions. Works with Stripe or managed locally without it.
Stores already on WooCommerce
Service purchases flow through your existing WooCommerce checkout - one hidden virtual product, 100+ gateway ecosystem, no catalog clutter. Razorpay, regional gateways, whatever your buyers already trust.
Data-driven marketplace operators
Vendor analytics dashboards show revenue, completion rates, and seller performance, exportable to CSV and PDF. Commission rules go tiered: reward your top sellers with better rates automatically.
Platforms with heavy file delivery
Order attachments and delivery files store on Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, or DigitalOcean Spaces instead of your web server. Uploads scale with your traffic, not your hosting plan.
Agencies shipping white-label marketplaces
Hide our branding entirely. The Agency tier covers unlimited client sites, with migration help from Dokan, WC Vendors, or custom builds when you move a client over.
What scaling looks like
Follow the money through a Pro marketplace.
The same vendors, the same orders - Pro changes what happens after the work is approved. Payday runs itself, retainers bill monthly, and customers manage their own subscriptions instead of emailing you.
Possible marketplaces
Platforms people are running on this exact stack.
Not feature combinations - real shapes of business. Each one is the same journey (list, win, deliver, get paid) pointed at a different niche.
A design studio collective
Twelve freelance designers under one brand. Each lists their own gigs, the platform takes 15%, payday runs over Stripe Connect on the 15th, and the studio owner watches it all in analytics.
A WordPress care-plan agency
Maintenance retainers as recurring services: clients subscribe once, billing repeats monthly, and a paused subscription during a site migration is the client's two clicks, not your support thread.
A coaching platform
Coaches sell discovery calls and monthly programs side by side. Session recordings deliver through cloud storage on S3, and coach payouts net out tiered commission automatically.
A niche dev talent network
Clients post briefs with budgets, vetted developers pitch proposals, and accepted pitches become tracked orders. The network owner earns commission without touching a single invoice.
A white-label client build
Your agency ships the whole marketplace under the client's brand. Agency tier covers unlimited sites, and migration help moves their old Dokan data over.
A productised-services shop
Fixed-scope packages with WooCommerce checkout, AI-drafted gig descriptions, and the wpss-pro demo seeder for staging. From idea to a working storefront in an afternoon.
What Pro adds
Every extension in one license. Enable what your platform needs.
Pro is not a feature wall. Each capability is an independent extension with its own settings. The free marketplace keeps running exactly as it does today; Pro turns on the scaling machinery around it.
WooCommerce checkout with 100+ gateways
One hidden virtual product routes every service purchase through WooCommerce. Your buyers pay with whatever your store already accepts - Razorpay, regional gateways, the full WooCommerce ecosystem - while the service catalog stays clean. EDD, FluentCart, and SureCart integrations ship alongside.
Recurring services and subscriptions
Vendors enable recurring billing for a service directly in the frontend Create Service wizard. Customers manage their own subscriptions - pause, resume, cancel - from a My Subscriptions section. Stripe-backed when configured, managed locally when not.
Unified Earnings & Payouts
Manual withdrawal is always available; PayPal and Stripe Connect payout rails switch on when you are ready. Scheduled payouts run weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly and bulk-process eligible vendors. Stripe Connect platform fees follow your configured commission rate.
Vendor analytics with export
Revenue, order volume, completion rates, and seller performance in dashboard charts, exportable to CSV and PDF. Tiered commission rules reward top sellers automatically. The numbers a marketplace operator actually checks on Monday morning.
Cloud storage for deliveries
Move order attachments and delivery files to Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, or DigitalOcean Spaces. A dedicated settings screen takes the provider and credentials; uploads route there automatically. Your web server stops being the file cabinet.
White label and developer tooling
Hide our branding for client builds. AI-powered service creation drafts gig descriptions. Unlimited gallery images and service add-ons remove the free limits. The wpss-pro demo WP-CLI command seeds realistic data for staging, and Pro hooks extend every extension point the free plugin exposes.

Before you upgrade
Questions marketplace operators ask about Pro.
Answered by the team building WP Sell Services. If your question is not here, send it from the contact page - you'll hear back the same business day.
- 01
Does Pro replace the free plugin or extend it?
Extend. Pro installs alongside the free plugin and adds extensions to it. Your services, vendors, orders, and settings carry over untouched. Deactivating Pro returns you to the free feature set without data loss.
- 02
Do I need WooCommerce for Pro?
No. The WooCommerce integration is one optional extension. The free plugin's standalone Stripe + PayPal checkout keeps working in Pro. Enable WooCommerce only if you want its 100+ gateway ecosystem or already run a store.
- 03
How do recurring services work without Stripe?
Subscriptions are managed locally when Stripe is not configured - pause, resume, and cancel all work. With Stripe configured, billing runs on Stripe subscriptions. Customers self-manage either way from My Subscriptions.
- 04
How do automated payouts handle commission?
Payouts process vendor balances net of your commission rules, including tiered rates per seller level. Stripe Connect platform fees follow the configured commission rate. Manual withdrawal stays available alongside the automated rails.
- 05
What exactly does white label hide?
All WP Sell Services branding in the admin and frontend - the Agency tier is built for agencies shipping the marketplace under their own or their client's brand.
- 06
Can I try Pro before buying?
The live demo sandbox runs the full stack. And every purchase has a 30-day refund policy, no questions asked - install it on your real site and test with your real vendors.
- 07
What changed in 1.2.0?
Recurring billing moved into the frontend service wizard, payouts unified into one Earnings & Payouts section with PayPal and Stripe Connect, customers got self-serve subscription management, cloud storage gained its settings screen, and a wpss-pro demo WP-CLI command seeds evaluation data. Full history is on the release notes page linked below.
Scale the marketplace you already run.
Install Pro over the free plugin - nothing to migrate, settings carry over, extensions switch on from the admin panel. 30-day refund if it is not the right fit.
