New 8 Improve 7 Fix 14 Dev 4 Compat 1
New
- A person can ask to join a space and see where the ask stands, and the owner answers from a request queue on the Spaces screen.
- New students can pick the organisations they are joining while signing up, from the spaces whose owners opted in. Off by default, per space.
- Past twelve listed spaces the sign-up control becomes pick-and-add, so a long list stays usable.
- Space is a renamable noun, following the site's own wording everywhere Learnomy prints it.
- Space managers can discover the spaces they manage over the API.
- A learner can list their own assignment submissions over the API.
- Instructor suspension and resumption are published as webhook events.
- The Pro webhook surface is published, so automations can see events that were previously unreachable.
Improve
- Join requests are on by default for new spaces, and the option now sits with the rest of the membership group rather than in the middle of another one.
- The Spaces screen tabs its request queues, so the space list is the screen again.
- Assignment submissions say who submitted them, and join Free's grading inbox instead of opening a second one.
- A learning path page sells like a purchase, and the catalog stops offering paths with no steps.
- Stripe Payouts notices land above the page rather than beside its title, and its filters keep their place after a search.
- Recommended course rows fit inside their card on a phone.
- Save confirmations survive the reload on Spaces, cohorts and assignments.
Fix
- A hidden join control now refuses a posted request rather than accepting it quietly, and a pending ask stays visible to the person who made it.
- Group-restricted courses were listed and counted to everyone who could see the space.
- The members role filter was advertised on the API and ignored.
- A space whose owner no longer exists is reconciled rather than left unreachable.
- Enrollment is refused while a required learning-path step is unavailable, and a cohort grant from a path step now counts as an authoritative source of access.
- The retired cohort edit link goes to the screen that owns editing.
- Loose lessons are editable from the course edit screen.
- Path completion is no longer blocked by the drafts that create-then-edit leaves behind, and orphaned path steps are repaired by the maintenance sweep.
- Money in Pro views carries its currency.
- The space plans tables show one Edit action per row.
- Content Drip, Learning Paths and the Stripe Payouts screens emit the marker WordPress needs to place admin notices correctly.
- Assignments no longer raise a toast of their own while saving.
- The app feature-flag map was missing the gradebook.
- Webhook events no longer collide on subscription and instructor facts: one fact, one event.
Dev
- New hooks and options: learnomy_pro_signup_picker_enabled, learnomy_pro_signup_picker_spaces, and the per-space listed_at_signup option.
- Pro joins the relation registry with 20 models across 4 parent entities.
- 38 Pro events are published and 55 are excluded with stated reasons, gated at zero tolerance.
- The Pro POT is regenerated for the learning-paths and payouts strings.
Compat
- Requires Learnomy 1.9.3. Install both updates together.
Improve 7 Fix 21 Dev 3 Compat 1
Improve
- Pro Tools groups its cards under Teaching, Skills and progress, and Standards and import rather than listing them flat.
- Learning Spaces appears on the Pro Tools hub, which claims to list every Pro tool.
- The seat product is named Learning Spaces on every screen, so it is not confused with the Spaces feature other plugins add to the same site.
- Pro settings sit in the topic they belong to rather than under a Pro heading, and no settings row is left outside a group.
- A Pro page whose extension is switched off shows the recovery screen naming what to enable, instead of denying entry.
- The Subscription column answers the question it is asked.
- A plan marked Popular looks popular.
Fix
- A promised free trial is a free trial: a trial that nothing ends, and a trial purchase recording two statuses, are both corrected.
- A Space Plan bills the way it was authored.
- Instructor reports distinguish "nobody sat it" from "they all failed", and an exported average over nobody is a blank cell rather than 0%.
- Top Courses averages are decided by the number of attempts, not by whether the average happens to be zero.
- A learning path step that points at a course quiz opens that quiz instead of a Not Found page.
- Learning space and learning path pages are titled with their own name, so several open tabs are no longer all called "Space" or "Path".
- White Label no longer renames all three Learnomy menus to the same word, leaving Commerce and Settings indistinguishable.
- Instructors can reach Assignments, Content Drip and Learning Paths from the admin menu.
- The create-course screen names a quiz mode the way the edit screen does.
- Shared configuration can only be changed by someone who owns everything it affects.
- The plan modal is no longer wider than the viewport.
- Stored dates render through Free's date helper, so a date the site does not have shows as a dash.
- Deactivating a licence deactivates it. The seat was released at the store while the site went on reporting the licence as active, so updates stopped without saying why.
- The licence screen shows what you own: product, valid-until, sites used, activations left, who it is registered to, and when it was activated here.
- An invalid licence key explains itself instead of printing an internal code.
- The course builder's Save Draft and Save Changes buttons are visible. They rendered as empty boxes, so there appeared to be no way to save before the last step.
- Leaving the course builder with unsaved sections or lessons asks first, instead of dropping them without a word.
- An instructor who owns the course can add members to its cohort. Only the cohort's named instructor could, and a cohort whose instructor had been removed could not be managed at all.
- A learning path whose steps point at deleted courses lists those steps as unavailable instead of reporting the path as empty.
- My Journey says what happened. Enrolling, finishing, earning a certificate and each quiz attempt read as separate events instead of the same title repeated.
- Daily maintenance tasks stop failing when the extension that owns them is switched off.
Dev
- Pro Tools cards declare a group key; an unrecognised group renders under More tools rather than being dropped.
- Pro asks Free for icons instead of rebuilding them, and the analytics extension declares the reports route it registers.
- Extensions declare their recurring tasks, so a scheduled action always has a listener even when its extension is off.
Compat
- Requires Learnomy 1.9.2. Install both updates together.
New 1 Improve 2 Fix 5 Compat 1
New
- Space owners choose whether visitors see the course list, matching the existing member-count control. Off by default, because a space is usually a company's training group.
Improve
- Reports Completion counts everyone who finished the course, not only learners who enrolled inside the reporting window. This CHANGES figures you have seen: a course that read 0% may now read its real rate.
- The Reports table drops its Revenue column, which the Earnings screen already answers per course and per period, so the table fits without sideways scrolling.
Fix
- The space plans catalogue still resolves after the Spaces base is renamed, so saved links and bookmarks to it no longer land on a 404.
- Space Plans is reachable in wp-admin before the first plan exists, so a new site can be set up through the UI.
- The public space plans page offers a contact route and a way back when no plans are on sale.
- Pro widgets on the instructor Earnings, Courses, Students, Reports and Grading screens load their styles instead of falling back to raw theme lists.
- Send request on the space manage screen no longer sits flush against the field above it.
Compat
- Aligned with Learnomy 1.9.1. Install both updates together.
New 1 Improve 3 Fix 6 Dev 1 Compat 1
New
- Suspend a member who is behind on dues and restore them later, keeping their place, role and join date.
Improve
- Space owners get a header, actions and a way back from the space they are managing.
- Member headcount is private to visitors by default.
- The licence check reads both stores, so sites activated through the SDK get the mobile app.
Fix
- A suspended association stops granting the courses its groups own, not only the ones it owns directly.
- Filtered learning path pages return results instead of a 404.
- Space plan pricing is read from the plan itself rather than a hidden price id.
- Exported analytics reports contain only the report, with no Print button or dead script.
- Space Plans keeps its page when a site sells no seats, without relying on a deprecated call.
- A refused Spaces action explains that the owner switched the option off.
Dev
- Static analysis runs clean at zero tolerance; the remaining findings were dead guards, not defects.
Compat
- Requires Learnomy 1.9.0. Install both updates together.
New 7 Improve 4 Fix 14 Dev 2 Compat 1
New
- Gradebook. Each course gets a weighted grade built from its quizzes, assignments, and SCORM packages. Set how much each source counts and the pass threshold per course; a source set to 0 is left out, and a source that counts but has no score yet is treated as 0 so it lowers the grade until the student completes it.
- Instructors can override a student's final grade by hand with a required reason, and revert it. The override replaces the computed grade only; no component score is ever changed.
- A Gradebook screen under Learnomy lists every course with its student count, class average, and pass rate, and drills into a per-course grid you can filter by pass or fail, sort by grade or name, and export to CSV.
- Students see their own grade for each enrolled course at Account, Grades, with the per-source breakdown and a pass or in-progress badge.
- SCORM lessons answer Learnomy's completion gate, so a package that reports complete is what lets the student advance. The mode is offered in both the wp-admin lesson editor and the front-end builder.
- Assignment activity now appears in the instructor reports and the analytics exports, with submissions, graded count, average score, and late count per assignment.
- Learning paths gained cover images across all three entry points, and real filter categories shared with the course vocabulary.
Improve
- Instructors can attach a reference link to an assignment, not only an upload.
- The gradebook's course-list and per-course headline average and pass rate cover students with graded activity, shown as "N active" beside the enrolled count; a class of mostly not-yet-started students no longer reads as a 0.3% average.
- The Pro Tools page is a complete launcher: every Pro admin page, including SCORM Tracking, Import QTI, LTI Platforms, Milestones and Skills, is one card away, which is what lets the sidebar stay short.
- The certificate anchor feature is described as what it is, a tamper-evident certificate hash registry, instead of "blockchain anchoring".
Fix
- Clicking "Save Changes" on the builder's Review step no longer unpublishes a live course; saving preserves the course's published status.
- Publishing from the builder without publish permission now reports "submitted for review" and queues the course for approval, instead of claiming success while the course silently stayed a draft.
- A lesson created without a section no longer vanishes from the course editor on reload, and the Review step counts it instead of reporting "0 lessons".
- The builder's Estimated Duration field saves and reloads; the value was silently discarded and the field always reopened empty.
- The gradebook's Pass or Fail badge updates immediately after a manual override or revert instead of waiting for a page reload.
- Gradebook learner cards fit the account column on phones, the override dialog is styled, the Notes and Bookmarks search box no longer balloons on mobile, the course-editor status badge renders as a compact pill, and the builder no longer shows a dark box on light-mode sites.
- The bare Learning Spaces address resolves: members are taken to My Spaces and visitors to the plans page, instead of a not-found. A public all-spaces directory is deliberately not offered, since spaces are private team products.
- The learning paths catalogue's filter, sort, and paging now work; its queries use an index instead of a full scan on every page view; and out-of-range pages return not-found instead of page one.
- The Account, Learning Paths list is no longer truncated and no longer runs a query per step.
- Analytics figures now refresh when a quiz, assignment, or SCORM item is graded, instead of showing a stale number for up to a day.
- The instructor reports pager reaches page two instead of returning not-found, and the reports now include a course the instructor authored even when the enrolment record is missing.
- The per-course assignments report paginates instead of rendering every assignment on one page.
- A new paginated route no longer returns not-found on an existing site until permalinks are re-saved; the upgrade regenerates the rule on the first request.
- Analytics report PDF exports open correctly. Warnings from the PDF library were being written into the file ahead of the document itself, which left it unreadable. Requires Learnomy 1.8.0.
Dev
- Ownership-gated REST routes under learnomy-pro/v1 read the gradebook grid, one student, and the learner's own grades, and write the weighting and overrides. The grade is computed on read from the existing quiz, assignment, and SCORM stores, so no new score is ever stored.
- Saving quiz conditional-logic rules over REST returns 501 while the feature ships as a coming-soon card, so API callers cannot store rules the quiz runtime does not evaluate yet; a single flag re-enables the card and the route together.
Compat
- Requires Learnomy 1.8.0. Install both updates together.
New 3 Improve 1 Fix 4 Dev 2 Compat 1
New
- Live lessons in the front-end course builder have their own Join link, start time, and duration. Previously the join link went into a field labelled "Media URL" and there was no way to set a start time at all.
- The builder shows, in plain language, exactly what the student will see: a countdown until the start, a Join button for the length of the session, then "This session has ended".
- Students can see their own assignment status, score, and feedback in the mobile app. The lesson's assignment list now includes the student's own submission, with direct endpoints for one assignment and for all of a student's assignments.
Improve
- Rubric grading is reachable. The screen existed but nothing linked to it, so a rubric could be written and never used. A "Grade with rubric" action now appears in the grading queue, and only when the quiz actually has a rubric.
Fix
- In the front-end course builder, instructors no longer see "Manage templates" and "Create your first template" links that answered "Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page". They are now told plainly that an administrator has to create a certificate template and share it with instructors.
- The "Create your first template" button pointed at a page that does not exist, so even an administrator landed on the certificates list instead of a creation screen. It now opens the certificate designer.
- The Revenue Trend chart on the Analytics page draws a line across the whole reporting period with the correct dates. On a quiet period it used to collapse to a single point and show dates that did not match the period or the current day.
- Membership and space plan prices are shown in the plan's own currency, formatted for the reader's locale, instead of the site currency with a raw currency code after the amount.
Dev
- Pro now runs the same REST permission gate as Free on every build. It had none, and the CI step that was supposed to run it was skipped silently, so roughly 180 REST routes had no static checking at all. A missing gate now fails the build instead of passing quietly.
- Removed an unused membership refund REST route that duplicated Free's one refund path. Refunds continue to run through Free's endpoint, which fires the payout-clawback hook the Pro route would have bypassed.
Compat
- Requires Learnomy 1.7.0, which adds the lesson columns the live-session schedule is stored in. Install both updates together.
New 2 Improve 1 Compat 1
New
- Assignments: students can attach a video, audio, or document link to a submission instead of uploading a file, so a large media submission does not consume upload storage. Links show alongside any uploaded files for the student and in the instructor and admin grading views.
- Certificate templates an instructor can pick are now scoped to the curated library plus any template an admin shared with them; admins still see every template.
Improve
- Member account pages for Notes & Bookmarks, Learning Paths, Cohorts, and Assignments now carry proper browser and search titles instead of just the site name.
Compat
- Requires Learnomy 1.6.0. Install both updates together.
New 5 Improve 7 Fix 7 Security 1 Compat 1
New
- SCORM, H5P, xAPI, and AI Authoring modules are now stable, promoted from beta after external verification, and Stripe Connect instructor payouts are stable as well.
- Attach instructor reference or brief files to an assignment from the assignment editor, and students see them in a Reference files panel.
- Link a Learnomy Space to a BuddyNext community from the Space page and the admin Space detail screen, so members join the community automatically. New seams learnomy_pro_space_front_header_end and learnomy_admin_space_detail_tabs / _panels.
- Course builder additions: edit a topic's body inline and add a Credly badge field, both from the front-end course builder.
- Learning paths gain admin price, access, category, and certificate fields, and cohorts gain a progress roster with an at-risk view for staff.
Improve
- Advanced-quiz question pools, conditional logic, rubrics, and slot timers now store in a dedicated lrn_pro_aq_config table for scale, with an automatic one-time migration off wp_options.
- Assignment due dates are now timezone-correct, so a due date no longer locks students out on the morning it is due, and the account view shows instructor feedback.
- The student My Journey view gains a Recommended next steps card, and the admin User Journey list and detail now show the same data.
- The Spaces subscription-expiry sweep now drains the whole backlog in bounded pages instead of stopping at 100, tunable with the learnomy_pro_space_expiry_batch filter.
- Spaces owner reports gain CSV export, and an owner can add their own entitled courses to their Space.
- The WP Fusion bridge gains a write surface for certificate, membership-plan, and purchase tag rules.
- Content-drip enrol-time unlock scheduling is now offloaded to Action Scheduler in batches, so large enrolments no longer slow the enrol request.
Fix
- A second manual instructor withdrawal now transfers money instead of being silently deduplicated by Stripe, because each withdrawal uses a distinct idempotency key.
- The Stripe Connect onboarding return now lands on the Payouts dashboard instead of a raw JSON page, and the admin settings show the exact redirect URI to register with Stripe.
- H5P completion is now captured reliably regardless of script load order.
- Learning-path sequential gating is now enforced, and graded assignments show for learners whose course is completed or expired.
- A learner can now enroll in more than one free learning path; the second free path no longer fails.
- A Space member who has course access through their membership now sees the course instead of a purchase prompt.
- The cohort schedule now includes the full course outline (sections and lessons) for signed-in viewers.
Security
- Space and cohort member rosters are now readable only within management scope, and Pro registers GDPR data exporters and erasers for all Pro personal data.
Compat
- Requires Learnomy 1.5.0. Install both updates together.
New 8 Improve 2 Dev 1 Compat 1
New
- SCORM support. Import a SCORM 1.2 or 2004 package as a lesson, play it in a sandboxed runtime with content-addressed asset serving, and record CMI completion straight into Learnomy progress and a tracking report. New tables lrn_pro_scorm_packages and lrn_pro_scorm_cmi.
- xAPI (Tin Can). Emit answered, completed, passed and failed statements to any LRS, with retry and a delivery log, from a Settings > Integrations panel.
- LTI 1.3. Learnomy acts as a Tool Provider: register a platform, validate OIDC launches with RS256/JWKS, provision and enrol the launching user, and pass grades back via AGS. New table lrn_pro_lti_platforms and a Platforms admin screen.
- QTI import. Import IMS QTI 2.x and 3.0 assessments as native Learnomy questions and quizzes through an XXE-safe parser, so they play and grade in the existing engine with no new runtime.
- H5P bridge. Author an H5P content as a lesson content type and capture its native xAPI completion into the one Learnomy progress pipeline.
- WP Fusion bridge. Apply and require CRM tags per course, quiz and membership through Learnomy's lifecycle hooks. New table lrn_pro_wpf_rules.
- Advanced question types. Numeric, symbolic math (equivalence-checked, no eval), and calculated (randomized-variable) questions, authored in wp-admin and the front-end builder and rendered with KaTeX.
- Spaces sub-groups. Organize a space into groups with scoped managers and optional group-exclusive course access.
Improve
- The front-end course builder authors all question types, including matching, ordering, numeric, math and calculated, from the same shared source as wp-admin and the API.
- Notes, bookmarks and Stripe Connect payout screens are fully translatable.
Dev
- New shared Content_Standards_Bridge service is the single completion path for SCORM now and xAPI, cmi5 and LTI later. cmi5 has a code-verified implementation plan for a later release.
Compat
- Requires Learnomy 1.4.0. Install both updates together.
Improve 2 Compat 1
Improve
- The front-end course builder reuses Learnomy's shared editor toolset, so it authors with the same blocks and the uniform embed as the wp-admin editors. No duplicate tool list.
- All course-builder status and error messages are now translatable, and the builder ships AI-assisted translations for 12 locales.
Compat
- Requires Learnomy 1.3.0. Install both updates together.
New 4 Dev 1 Compat 1
New
- User Journey milestones are now first-class, rule-driven badges. Learners earn them automatically on course and quiz completion, and admins can grant or revoke them by hand. Earned badges show on the My Journey dashboard tab.
- First-class Skills: name the skills your academy teaches and pick the courses, categories, or quizzes that build each one. Learners earn a 0 to 100 score as they complete the mapped content, shown on the My Journey tab.
- Skills and Milestones admin screens with guided, non-technical rule and content builders (dropdown pickers, no IDs).
- Milestone REST endpoints under learnomy-pro/v1 - read a learner's earned and available badges, and admin grant or revoke.
Dev
- Added the learnomy_pro_milestone_earned and learnomy_pro_milestone_revoked actions and the learnomy_pro_milestone_rule_types filter for custom rule types.
Compat
- Aligned with Learnomy 1.2.1. Install both updates together.
New 5 Improve 1 Fix 2 Dev 2 Compat 1
New
- Create sub-groups inside a space, assign members, managers, and courses to each group, and optionally make a group's courses exclusive to its members.
- Group managers see and manage only their own group, while space-wide and group course access combine into a single access set for each member.
- Manage groups from a tabbed admin space-detail page (Members, Courses, Groups) and from the frontend space-manage widget.
- Invite members through a branded in-system landing that handles sign-in, account creation, and invite acceptance in one flow.
- Bridge access to WP Fusion so CRM tags can gate courses, auto-enroll members, and receive tags back on Learnomy events.
Improve
- Group and member management adapts to large spaces, the add-member dropdown lists real roles (Student, Manager), and member roles can be changed per row.
Fix
- CRM tag writes are now deferred to Action Scheduler so member actions are not blocked on the CRM.
- Corrected two malformed placeholders that could fatal on PHP 8.
Dev
- Added the learnomy_pro_space_member_columns filter to customize the space member list.
- Added a Dutch (nl_NL) translation and regenerated the .pot.
Compat
- Aligned with Learnomy 1.2.0. Install both updates together.
Improve 1 Fix 1 Dev 1 Compat 1
Improve
- Reworded user-facing strings to plain English across all extensions (replaced stylistic dashes with natural punctuation).
Fix
- The Recent Notes and Bookmarks dashboard widget now loads its styles on the account dashboard, where it previously rendered as plain bulleted links.
Dev
- Full translation readiness: added translator comments to every placeholder string and regenerated the .pot. The WordPress.WP.I18n check is clean.
Compat
- Aligned with Learnomy 1.1.1. Install both updates together.
Fix 3 Compat 1
Fix
- Front-end course editor tag picker now shows tag names and lets you pick them; the blank dropdown previously covered the Course Thumbnail section.
- The question type dropdown on the standalone quiz editor now lists every question type so instructors can add questions there.
- The Bookmarks page no longer shows a redundant Apply button, and hides the filter row entirely when there are no bookmarks.
Compat
- Requires Learnomy 1.1.0. Install both updates together.
