How to configure the backend settings?

Admin can set the various settings of BP private community pro plugin by navigating through Dashboard > WB plugin > BuddyPress private community pro settings. Now here you can see the following options:

Logged-out user settings: These settings are only for logged-out users.

  • Lock buddypress components: Enable this setting so that logged-out users will not be able to access the BuddyPress components.
  • Select components to lock: Select the BuddyPress components that you wish to restrict access for logged-out users.
  • Lock custom post types: Enable this setting so that non-logged-in users will not be able to access custom post types pages.
  • Select CPT to lock: Select the BuddyPress components that you wish to restrict access for logged-out users.
  • Lock pages: Enable this so that non-logged-in users will not be able to access WordPress pages.
  • Select wp pages to lock: Select the WordPress pages that you wish to get locked for logged-out users.
  • Login Registration Form: Provides you with an option to either select plugin’s default template or enter the 3rd Party Plugin Shortcode.
  • Custom Restriction Message: Message will be displayed on the protected pages. You can also edit the restriction message.

Logged-In user settings: These settings are only for logged-in users.

  • Remove admin roles from members directory: Enable this setting so that members with user role administrator will not be listed in the member directory.
  • Remove users from the member directory list: Select users to remove from the member directory list.
  • Enable profile visibility settings at the front end: Enable this setting so that users will be able to set profile visibility at the frontend.
  • Lock BuddyPress activities: Enable this setting so that selected users or user roles will not be able to access BuddyPress components.
  • Select BuddyPress activities to lock: This allows you to select various BuddyPress activities so that selected users cannot access them. Like: commenting, posting, private message, friendship request, and public message.
  • Lock BuddyPress components according to This setting allow you to select user role, users, or member type.

Limit BP By Role: This allows you to restrict community components for the logged-in user by Roles.
Separate section for all the available user roles where you can select the desire component to lock for a specific role from the dropdown.

Member groups settings: These settings are only for logged-in users and not applicable for administrator roles.

  • The number of groups a member can create: This setting restricts members to create only the specified number of groups.
  • Restrict no of group creation limit according to Allow you to select the user role or users.
  • The number of groups a member can join: This setting restricts members to join only the specified number of groups.
  • Restrict no of groups join limit according to Allow you to select the user role or users.
  • Limit number of members per group: Allow you to enter the limit a group can contain members.

Profile progress settings: These settings are only for user profile progress.

  • Display profile progress bar: Enable this setting so that the profile progress bar will be displayed on the member profile page.
  • Calculate completion profile fieldset: Select the fieldsets for calculating the profile completeness.

Member restriction settings:  These settings are only for user profile progress.

  • Select Profile progress % to apply member restriction: Allow you to select the percentage so that users with profile completeness percentage greater than or equal to the entered value will get listed in the member directory.
  • Apply default restriction by selected user roles: Allow you to select the user role for applying the restrictions.
  • Applicable Restrictions: Following restrictions are for those users who are not listed in the member directory because of less profile completeness percentage. You can also enable/ disable these restrictions according to your choice.1. Hide incomplete profile from member’s directory
